Films and Documentries

Where did it all start -

Eight Frames Media isnt just a company, its a group of passionate creatives

We created our first short film at fifteen, and in that moment, everything changed. What began as curiosity quickly became conviction. A belief that film isn’t just something you watch, it’s something that moves people, challenges perspectives, and gives voice to stories that deserve to be heard.

Since then, advocacy through media has been at the heart of everything we do. From award-winning films that confront social inequities, to powerful documentaries exploring the transformative force of education, to genre-blending projects that spotlight the extraordinary musical talent emerging from NSW, our work is driven by purpose.

We don’t just create films.
We tell stories that matter.

Our First Film

Our first film explored the impact of racism, created by a diverse, youth-led crew determined to tell a story that felt honest, urgent, and real.

We harnessed the power of visual storytelling to spark conversation, challenge perspectives, and shine light on lived experiences often left unheard. What began as a passion project became something far greater, a reminder of what young voices are capable of when given a platform.

The film went on to win at the Inner West Youth Film Festival, marking the beginning of our commitment to storytelling with purpose.

From Then

We continued creating short films and documentaries driven by impact and authenticity.

One project that truly stands out was an educational showcase produced in collaboration with TAFE NSW and the Shoalhaven Food Network, a story celebrating the journey from classroom to commercial kitchen.

Through powerful interviews and immersive visuals, we captured the success stories of students stepping confidently into the hospitality industry, alongside the business owners shaping the region’s culinary future. It wasn’t just a showcase, it was a testament to opportunity, mentorship, and the real-world impact of education done right.

As we progressed

As our storytelling evolved, we began fusing documentary realism with cinematic filmmaking — creating a series that blurred the line between raw performance and crafted narrative.

The Temple was born from that vision.

Created in collaboration with award-winning director John Meredith, the series showcases the extraordinary musical talent emerging across NSW. Set inside a purpose-built creative sanctuary in Bawley Point, known simply as The Temple, each session captures artists in their most authentic form.

Intimate. Unfiltered. Powerful.

What began as an experiment in form has grown into a respected and reputable series — a space where music, story, and cinema converge.

But it doesn’t stop there

With two new documentaries currently in development and many more episodes of The Temple on the horizon, we’re only just getting started.

This is the beginning of something bigger — deeper stories, bolder ideas, and films that continue to leave a mark long after the credits roll.
